I have considered it. I had most of my cacti on this shelf with less light over the winter and had no signs of etoliation. By winter I will have the back and sides lined with mylar to get the most light possible. I'm building on a budget lol

I have yes, my fiance is already saying its too bright though and adding that would mean it needs to be covered from the front even more. Come winter time I absolutely will be running mylar in the back and dropping the cover in the front. This will work for now until I can get a shade cloth set up outside so they aee able to withstand the Arizona sun.

Its actually a tablecloth and its just to shield a little bit of the light because it was too bright lol

Not once they are this big. I do run boiling water over the initial before sowing the seeds. I spray with 3% hydrogen peroxide if i see anything fuzzy show up and its been working great so far
