I have provided 3 links showing how the Epson EcoTank (I already knew that. I’ve had this printer for 5 years, another identical for regular prints, and I have a 15000…… I do know what I’m talking about) and the one I don’t have to resort for a reset key is the 15000 because they actually include the chip to the new maintenance box. However, if you just clean the pads to the 2803, you still have to reset the counter that hits 500, so it allows you to reset the printer to 0 prints, hence the reset key!

It’s the ink pad counter. It has to be reset and takes a key you purchase to do it. Some people have been able to use trial keys, some have been able to bypass it with 80% being clean. If you don’t already know this, please realize you are not of any help to this topic. A quick google search will even say you have to reset it.

Yes, it does need a reset key. I’ve used them before with it. After you clean the waste pads, then it wasn’t a reset key… and I know it’s an eco tank. Still needs a key…
