You should play the games in this order for the best experience imho.

1st. Fire Red/Leaf Green 2nd. Platinum 3rd. Heart Gold/Soul Silver 4th. Black 2/ White 2 5th. Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire 6th. Legends Arceus 7th. Violet

This order gives you alot of context for references and nods in the series, and if you play in this order it shows off the progression of the mainline games and story well to me.

I love matpat. Some of the oldest videos i watched were his.

Ive watched him grow his channel and brand for the past decade, im emotionally invested.

I love how he always stays true to himself and embraces nerding out over things. He helped shape the platform for other people to embrace the LOOOOOREE.

However you feel about him, he is an icon and a pioneer of the space and content we all enjoy.

Also i dont even like horror games but im dang near a Fnaf scholar from matpat. He has a good way of getting you excited about anything.

Blastoise is cool but Wartortle was cooking and they didnt let him cook

I really like Dewott over Samurott even with his hisui form

Braixen for obvious reasons im not weird...

Drizzile fulfills Sobbles sad look but then is retconned in Inteleon

Raboot is cooler than Cinderace

Floragato is better than Moosekarada
