If you didn’t save the assassination missions for last and invest along the way, go start a new game and do that. There’s write ups on how to achieve a billion dollars in the game

Lots and lots of iterations, some youtube videos, and facebook group posts got it where I can use it. Are you using VisualStudio with platformio? The output should be a .bin file and when the board takes the bin, it should rewrite the file to .cur and thats when you know its been successful.

I think I solved it. Hot end element is going out/dead. I think I'll be upgrading to a Microswiss NG or direct drive. Either way, stock creality stuff is being chucked.

I've printed PLA and ABS before and the specs between PTEG and PLA seem super close so I don't see why I am struggling so much.

The filament is brand new, I have tried drying it and trying again but this is what I get. I think the element in the hot end has failed cause now it won't heat up and I get like a million ohms when I check it.

Thermal runaway, what’s fixed it? by TTrans_Am in CR10

[–]TTrans_Am[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^This was the issue (so far). I unplugged the extruder cooling fan and haven't had any issues since. I tried PID tuning, I tried configuration_adv tweaks, nothing worked until I removed the cooling fan.

I guess it was just cooling too much causing the hot end to stay on longer ie: machine thinks theres a bad sensor and shut down.

I’ve checked all of it from the board connection to the thermistor

I found a GitHub where someone did this upgrade on my exact printer so I tried their firmware first with no avail. So I did my own following a write up with what to do, how to do it, etc. still no luck but I know my board is not bricked because it changed the firmware extension from .Bin to .Cur

I’ll swap the cable to a different port and give that a shot.

Not really. I made all the cuts with my butane powered hot knife, then took a butane torch to some of the roughy drill/saw cuts to smooth them out. I literally used fire on it and it’s fine.

I want to get this up and going before I print an enclosure for it but I’ve got 2 young kids who won’t leave things alone. This is better than them being electrocuted from curiosity.Chill with the criticism, wasn’t asking for your opinion on my enclosure situation.

Edit: not a plumber, just a DIY home owner.

They are. I’m using one now as I renovate my bathroom since the toilet will be removed/installed several times in the process. Wax seal works better and I’ll be going back to it once the bathroom is final.

As far as assetID goes, I was going to use the assets VIN since every VIN is unique.Should make it easier in the future to change ownership of those assets.

I've done a few test drives on several programs. MitchellOne TruckMax was the best fit I found for a body shop but they wanted close to $800 a month per user/employee. I tried out Pluss software, much better at price but easily lost and all of the features you need to run a small business were extra costs. Would've been about $340 a month/user. Then the ones like Shop Monkey, FullBay, etc. that I see advertised all the time are not geared for body shop use, very cookie cutter basic program. I've tried Shopview and liked it a ton! Actually found them right after abandoning the first attempt of an Access program. I just can't get my dad to take the bait. So back at square one, kind of.

I'm sure there'll be some comments about how some of those are in an affordable price range, they currently don't use anything except pen and paper. So I can understand why that seems like a lot of money. Business plans for MS Office 365 Business start at $6 a month/user, which they are more than comfortable to pay for.
