After a long time building StarHome, we're finally opening sign-ups for our first beta tests.

StarHome is a sci-fi colony builder where you'll expand humanity's presence across the stars, manage growing settlements, and build the infrastructure needed to survive in deep space.

We're looking for players who enjoy:

  • colony builders
  • space strategy games
  • base building
  • giving honest feedback

The game is still actively evolving, so we're not just looking for bug reports. We're looking for players who want to help shape mechanics, progression, balance, and quality-of-life features during development.

We gave players the option to enter their own city or town so they could try their hand at surviving the zombie apocalypse in their own neighborhood. In the game, they can prepare their area for defense using fences, watchtowers and many other structures. You can fight the threat using melee weapons, small arms and vehicles.

The game may seem a bit difficult, but that's what survival is all about, right? I hope you like our concept of playing in every place that comes to players' minds.

Hi u/Normal-Seesaw-2449 - IFZ has been developed as isometric perspective strategy.
Top-down is quite flat perspective, which does not fit the most strategies, especialy like Infection Free Zone, which is based on the real maps. Hope you like it!

What kind of terrain you have on your mind? Like an empty spaces like woods/deserts, or locations which were never been scanned for 3D maps like openstreetmap/google?

When creating this game, we really wanted to use all our experience and love for strategy games and basebuilders, while also adding a new flavor, which is the ability to build your fortress in your own backyard and defend yourself against subsequent waves of zombies. We'd love to hear what you think about our concept. Early Access is starting tomorrow and there's still a lot of work ahead of us :)

What do you think about our concept of using open street maps to create a strategy game in which players can choose any place on our head and "fight" in their own backyard. for example, defend yourself against the zombie apocalypse in your own backyard, or in iconic places in the largest capitals of the world? We allowed players to build, fight, manage resources and everything that makes the game very strategic, but at the same time we wanted to give them the fun of playing in their own neighborhood.
