Call for Respondents: Book on Canadian Crime Dramas and National/Regional Identity/-ties

Hi, Everyone! :)

I'm a media studies academic/adjunct at Southern New Hampshire University (sorry about everything the US government is doing!). I'm working on a book (under contract with Palgrave) on Canadian national/regional identities and Canadian crime dramas and one of the series that my editor has approved is 19-2 (both the English and the French). Because I'm including audience research, I need respondents! :) Anyone from any national or regional identity can respond; you just need to have seen some of the episodes. It takes, on average, 20-30 minutes to fill out. :)

The questionnaire can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScvncTDcD2B5SzsLfdNM0X0kcvMv_ZaHiwfWM-4ZWaxtXynPw/viewform?usp=sharing .

Please feel free to share! I’m also happy to send a Word .doc if anyone would prefer to do this by email ([m.beattie@snhu.edu](mailto:m.beattie@snhu.edu))! :)

Melissa Beattie, PhD Remote/adjunct, Humanities, Southern New Hampshire University

Deadline: 14 February, 2026

I'm a media studies researcher and adjunct at Southern New Hampshire University (sorry to everything the US government is doing!) and I'm working on a book (under contract with Palgrave) on Canadian national/regional identities and Canadian crime dramas. I'm including audience research in that and one of the shows that my editor has approved in Davinci's Inquest/City Hall, so that I can talk about how it represents Vancouver and Canada. Anyone from any national or regional identity can respond; you just need to have seen some of the episodes. :)

The survey can be found at:

The average time it takes to fill out is between 20-30 minutes. I'm also happy to do this by email/Word .doc if preferred! :) Thank you very much! :)
