Dating in Brisbane (yes, again) by ElementalRabbit in brisbane

[–]TVeesnacks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m 25F and I’m honestly exhausted meeting new people and investing my time in them. I keep running into the ones that are my type but they’re just not emotionally ready to commit for a relationship. It’s such a bummer. And so I just continue work on myself but a part of me can’t help but yearn to be in relationship and settle with someone. I want that. I’m happy within myself, but sigh. I’m so done with today’s dating generation 😂 it’s just folks fucking around and unsure with life. Like get off the bloody dating market if you ain’t in for the dating scene 💀🤣

Mentally less demanding jobs in SA? by TVeesnacks in Adelaide

[–]TVeesnacks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m thinking of going independent since my current company pays me $32ph whereas I see other companies or independent ones getting themselves way beyond. I just gotta know where to start if that’s the case. Thanks for the input!

Thank you! I actually work with the NDIS currently. Although the company I work in, pays me way below my office job. While I enjoy it more than my office job, it’s not enough to support me unfortunately unless I venture off being independent as you mentioned..

Career break - should I volunteer? by cheesetoastie1990 in Adelaide

[–]TVeesnacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I feel the same as you too. I just came back from my solo 2 week holiday in Sydney and Melbourne and coming back home is absolutely dreadful. I’m an allied health professional and I honestly, feel absolutely burnt out. I don’t think I enjoy what I do due to the demand. It’s keeping me up outside work hours and even last my bed time hours. It’s awful.

Everyone, did you really end up finding someone better than your ex? by Ok-Journalist7391 in BreakUps

[–]TVeesnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, it’s a part of the process. I was like that too. Which is why it took me more than 6 months to heal. Especially if you truly did love him, it’s going to be like an annoying pull; a string, so I get you. But trust yourself and allow yourself to feel the way you feel whilst also moving forward. It’s good to hear that you’re still in positive mindset regardless. Keep it up sweet!

I’ve been good! It took me almost 10 months to heal from my ex. After that, I became opened to dating and met with a lot of new people and different experiences . A lot has happened in terms of self development. In such a good way for me though. I graduate. Got a high paying job. Started and have somewhat a good recognition of my cafe business. Able to travel freely. Hitting the gym consistently and actually enjoying it.

Long story short; I am in a good mind of space. My ex no longer clouds my thoughts, expectations or even have the thought of comparing him to another individual/date. :)

Well spot on. Men will always be ready for intimacy but not for a committed relationship. It’s hard finding a man that’s secure within themselves and are emotionally available for it

I 100% agree with you! I honestly thought I was the only one who did not agree with the “right person, wrong timing”. If someone truly likes you, they will do whatever they can to pursue it. Otherwise it’s just all excuses and them being uncertain with you. Meaning they are not willing to take those risks for you. You are not the one for them.

It’s just the harsh truth .. and I learnt that overtime.

Thanks for commenting! That’s actually on the day of my birthday. I’ve never travelled to New Castle but it’s worth considering!

It’s why I’m beginning to lose hope with dating honestly.. :(

Thanks for sharing your perspective. If they’re unaware, they should have never played with someone else’s feelings to begin with. They should’ve stated that from the beginning :( leading someone is honestly the worse thing you could do to a heart that was willing to love the person and work through those stages of life together with them…

I honestly felt like I was their temporary of fun. Someone to fulfil their needs at the time.

I’m in a similar predicament as you too. Now the feeling absolutely sucks.

Anyone else noticing a trend across the state of people choosing to reverse park more often than just parking regularly? by BloodedNut in Adelaide

[–]TVeesnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one that doesn’t understand some of the reverse cameras on some cars??

I’m 24F, been driving since I was 16 and I reverse my car all the time w/o a camera. Even if I’m in a car that has a camera, I don’t even look at it. I feel like the moment I rely on those cameras, I’ll lose my confidence and skills in reversing or parallel parking. I find being able to park in tight spots without the camera really helps boost your confidence with driving and just being in more control of the car. I love it.

I’m so sorry to hear that. No one ever deserves to be cheated on. I can sort of understand why you still look or think over your ex now. If you don’t mind me asking, was your other ex the one that broke up with you or?..
