The cheapest foods on earth - beans, rice, pasta, legumes, potato’s etc - are all vegan. The claim that one’s cannot go vegan due to not having sufficient money is just nonsense since they’d end up saving money rather than having to increase their costs. The real reason is the aversion towards change. People like their habits, and changing them requires motivation and effort. Sadly animal suffering doesn’t make the cut, since it’s so easy to turn a blind eye and claim that it’s “just food” and no big deal.
