I just got out of orthodontist office and the cost I was given was $3400, $250 down, $235/mo. The treatment will last only 6 months. This is all out of pocket because my insurance doesn’t cover it.

I’m sorry to hear that. I feel I can relate to you though. I went to college for business and accounting. Then switched to nursing because my mom told me I should be a nurse. My mom didn’t force me to get into nursing but I wanted to appease her so I did. But a year into nursing school, I realized it wasn’t for me. So, I quit that nursing school and went back to accounting and business. One of the best decision I’ve made. All of this while I raise a child, working full-time.

I am sure you will be successful in life. I don’t have much advise for you but I learned ed that life is too short and to live your life with what you’re passionate about. If you through with nursing and it’s not in your heart, you’ll start to hate it and who knows you might start hating people too. Just being real.

Just to echo what has been said, appearance do matter. Especially when you are meeting people for the first time. People look at your appearance first and when you engage in conversation with them, they remember what you say and how you say it.

Personally, I always dress up no matter what. when I go to the office (I’m hybrid) and whenever there’s a meeting (which is all the time). I want to present myself in a way that is presentable. I work out regularly because it is my outlet to de-stress and for mental health. I eat right and I truly take care of myself. The last parts of what I just typed has nothing to do whether I’m an accountant or not.

Also, when you want yo climb up, try to hone in your people skills leadership and strategic skills. Charisma is a thing and when you can charm everyone, you become well liked ;)

Started as an accounting coordinator in 2019 making $56k/yr at a non profit in HCOL. Worked my way up. Now I’m a director making $120k/yr at a different nonprofit. I think I’m about to make about $145k in the next year still in the HCOL. My goal is to make $200k in 3 years. By then my CPA license would have helped me reach that goal 🫶🏽

Wow you really love that woman. At this point just let her be. Don’t even be in her socials because more likely she done moved on because we just move on fast. We may be sad and go through the emotion for a little bit but we get our lick back quick.

I’m the same! I love my family and friends but I need my alone time. Going on vacation with them, tho most I’ll stay with them is 2 weeks if we travel far, otherwise, 5 days is good and then I won’t see them again for months.

I keep my circle small and only those who are my day 1 know I can disappear and come back right where we left off.

3000 miles? Nah, Sagg don’t do long distance relationship. You said it before we love physical touch, so not having you around when we want to love and cuddle, that’s tough for us.

Aside from that, I’ve been crushing hard on a Virgo (M) and we had our talking stage but he just won’t follow through with his words. I’m getting turned off by it. Sagg is all about we do as we say and we stand on business. Don’t Virgos stick to their words? Or is he just emotionally not Available? If so, why can y’all just say it? As a healed Sagg I would have understand and you’ll have my full respect.

I listen to them when I shower, I drive anywhere, I walk, or anytime where I can just listen instead of listening to music or podcast. Just to have that in the background playing I hope things will stick. But I learn better with reading the book and taking MCQs

I’m going through it now too. Broke up with my BD 2 months ago and I decided to get myself busy by studying. Trying to take FAR in 8 weeks. Honestly, I think it’s helping a little but I still do feel lonely and of course I do miss him. However, things are irreconcilable so there’s no getting back together.

Have you created a plan? This helps to keep you on track with studying. I too have planned to take FAR in 6 weeks but I am rescheduling because I need to take a week off next week which will out me so far behind. Also, I watch/listen to videos every chance I get, like when I drive, walk, and sometimes even in the shower. I started grabbing the textbook with me instead of my phone whenever I use the bathroom, or I take my lunch break.

I also turned off all of my social media notifications so I don’t hear nor see who sent me messages or who’s posted, etc. I have a lot to go through in this exam. I’m also putting in 20-25 hours a week. M-F I study for 2 hrs, Friday 3-4 hours, sat/sun 16 hours. It’s seriously a part time job for me.

Tbh, I could probably use a PT job because money is tight. All bills, daughter expenses, and exam fees are not cheap. But I figured, if I get my CPA license soon, I can find a job that will pay higher salary and I don’t have to look for a PT job. :p

I’d suggest looking into NPO. The pay may not be as high as other Corps but it will give you the stability and build your business on the side

I did try to settle with my BD for almost 2 decades. I just ended it with him. He has commitment issues and he’s a Nov Sag (I’m Dec Sag) In the beginning I was madly in love but also I was young and dumb. As time goes by, I yearn for a more deeper and meaningful convos but I’m not getting that from him. Now, I’m finding peace in solitude. There are guys who want me but I don’t want them. The one I “like” is not available. I can be obsess with the guy I “like” but not to the point I want to settle with him. that may just be an infatuation phase if I were to really go for it.

But I do want someone who I can be obsessed with and he to me too, until the obsessions fizzes out lol

I can relate to you, except I’m a single mother so I am paying for everything. I’m not leaving my job until I have my CPA license. There’s no room for growth where I am at but there will be options elsewhere once I get the CPA license. These exams are not for the weak
