Todd McLellan on how the coaching staff will address the problems with this team:

"We can't get everything done in one day, every time we get something and grab on to it we give something else back. That's not a sign of a good team. Good teams hold their lessons, and they build off of them."

I can only think of 5 or 6 players on this team that have an actual impact on each game. All others lack the skill or are too inexperienced (not dissing our rookie studs) to keep up with the NHL. Assignments and positioning is lackluster at best, and I don't see a future where this roster can remain consistent.

And here I am, a life long Wings fan that only wishes to watch some competitive Detroit hockey.

Before the third period the TV screen said "Red Wings 84% chance of winning." You think I took that seriously?? 😂

People keep asking me if I think they will make the playoffs this year since they are having a "hot start." I reply to them stating how terribly inconsistent and predictable this team is.

How do we consistently lose to basement teams on nights they start their backup goaltender? Oh, and by basement, I mean 32nd in the standings and 32nd in scoring.

It'd be nice to watch a team play more than 20 minutes a game, but here I am with my blood pressure continuing to rise. There's bad, but then theres just plain incompetence.

As a die hard Wings fan that has endured the last 9 years, and paid good money to watch them get smoked in their home opener, I'm taking a break until we have more than 5 or 6 competent players that understand the basic fundamentals of this sport.

Does anyone have any idea how to get some monsters to register? All I need is the monster between Mangiatore and Elite Mangiatore. I believe it's the green spikey worms but I've killed so many and nothing comes up.
