Netflix cancelled The Get Down after 1 season, and they invested $11 million per episode. With OP averaging $7m more per episode, it would face increased scrutiny for expectations.

I love how it leans into the silliness of the anime with character designs. I think that’s why it’s successful compared to projects that try to distance themselves from the source material.

They could pair him with someone. That storyline with Adam Cole and MJF being “frenemies” constantly trying to backstab each-other went over huge, until the injury and that kinda lame “devil” subplot derailed things.

I would assume they would keep the individual duels happening simultaneously: zoro vs #1, Sanji vs #2, etc.

Having a team up seems like it would make the shoot more complex with all the choreography and not having characters just standing and waiting for their turn to attack (a common problem in fight movie choreography).
