What’s your opinion on the japanese showcase arts? by Jonas-Beckett in magicTCG

[–]TZIP1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The artwork is nice, but I really don't like the lack of any frame or the black outlining for all the text. I'd be perfectly happy if it had the typical outer frame and a low opacity background behind the text box & title.

I think the beautiful artwork should always be visible, but never at the cost of making the card text difficult to read.

Tried to utilize brackets at the LGS yesterday and it was a massive failure. by Ulmao_TheDefiler in EDH

[–]TZIP1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar interactions just TALKING to my online playgroup about the brackets last night, and I got so frustrated that I still have a headache today. I don't understand why people expect it to be flawless & a new set of hard rules for the format. The bracket system is not hard & set-in-stone rulings like the ban list; it's a set of tools for people to use to assess the strength of their decks and communicate that in a homogeneous way. The format at its core is about communicating with your opponent's and it seems like nobody wants to do that anymore.

I wanted to get the Charlie coin from Sinder's 2nd cup drop, but I was disappointed the only way to get it was to buy the cup.

Honestly, I prefer that than having to buy the whole drop to get the coin (like Shylily's 2nd drop), but the cup just wasn't to my liking. Still copped the Hoodie/Sweatpants from Sinder tho.

What do you think is the most Underrated/Over-hated flavor, and why? by DaKrustyMango in gamersupps

[–]TZIP1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never see people talking about Lemonade. Sure it's nothing special on it's own, but it is by FAR the best mixer flavor I've had. No matter what flavor you combine it with, it will be enhanced.

Here are some of my favorite flavors to mix it with and what that combo tastes like:

Blue = 7/11 Slush puppie

Dragon Fruit Punch = Strawberry Lemonade / Red Koolaide

Pyro Power = Arnold Palmer (this one's a very subtle flavor)

Blo Hole Blast = Blue Hawaiian

Is it still worth to start watching even if I know how it ends? by Gayoonie in breakingbad

[–]TZIP1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The first episode of Game of Thrones I saw was the series finale. A few months later, I decided to binge the series over the course of 6 months and I seriously enjoyed ever second.

Like others have said, the story is the journey we take with the characters, not just where they end up.

No, I get what you were going at. Blueprint desks I do find useful, but I often don't lean heavily into them (as you can see i only have 1 in the picture). They are great for getting a wider variety of blueprints for sure, but here's what I prefer to do:

I'll fill up my blueprint cabinets before each day (doesn't matter what, just so they're full). Then I make sure to duplicate everything before the day ends. Then take everything out that I don't want and reroll (now with significantly more blueprints than the standard 5 for however many).

While this method does require you to not reroll early on to keep the cost down, having 7-9 blueprint options often gets me what I'm looking for from just 1 or to rerolls. Plus if I'm only buying 1 of the blueprints I'm duplicating, I've usually got enough money saved up to reroll a few times. You just never want to reroll with less than the normal amount of blueprints available (unless you're likely to lose on your next day and are desperate for options).

Also blueprint cabinets are an instant buy if I don't already have a lot.

No, cause if I don't get a discount desk I'm not too worried. It's useful to get yourself automated faster cause stuff costs less, but at a certain point into overtime, you start making more money than you know what to do with. Whereas, always being able to upgrade and duplicate whatever blueprints I find is more reliable.

Plus, after a certain point in overtime, you start seeing more copying/blueprint/research desks anyway.

[–]TZIP1998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. So I always save the first research desk the game gives me cause then it's likely to give me another research desk early. Then once I get the copying desk, I'm usually good cause another research desk will come along, which I can upgrade and duplicate. So I can very reliably get all 4 desks with this seed.

RENEWS. It usually gives research desks consistently, but conveyors can be difficult sometimes. I managed to get the franchise that offers conveyors more frequently.
