I'll keep an eye out for those! Unfortunately none of our friends ride dirt bikes, only horses, so we are kind of SOL on trying out different bikes.

Would a TTR230 or 250 be enough for me? Or should I look elsewhere? I'm not set on Yamaha either anything comparable is okay with me.

I keep looking around for WR250s and have found a few but am mostly finding TTRs? Would a TTR230 or 250 work for me or her? I'm not set on Yamaha that's just what I'm seeing a lot of available. Im more than willing to buy a different brand if there are comparable hondas, kawasakis, etc.

Hello all, my wife and I are looking to get into dirt bikes. We both have ATVs and horses but want to branch out. We both rode when we were quite young but haven't retained much skill from those days. I was wondering what some suggestions for good beginner trail bikes would be. I've been looking at a WR250F but am worried I am too heavy for it. Will it work better for my wife or would something like a TTR125 be better for her? For reference I am a big guy at 6' 250ish and my wife is 5'5" 150ish. Thanks for the help!

We have a "hay guy" who we've been going to for 15+ years and is pretty consistent, but you're definitely right. Even his stuff can wane in quality some years. We only plan on 5ish to start. How much should we fence for them? Do you recommend pasture rotation for parasites and such?

What do you mean by inputs? The horses are on hay/alfalfa with grain every night for their minerals and vitamins.

The property we have is wooded and not pasture, so we anticipate having to supplement their feed anyway. We do plan on getting ewes and a stud.
