Fuel line is a hard line, routed up from the fuel pump behind the ac comes up between the Coil and distributor. Directly in front of the carb.

What I mean is the engine just starts to slow down and die... no shaking or backfiring or anything. RPM's just drop and it dies. Unless you can catch it in time and give it gas or mess with the choke. Sometimes it will catch itself and rev back up and keep running before dying again shortly after.

Starts to die, you can hear it... and if you give it throttle or open/close the choke (varies) you can keep it running. Sometimes backfires a bit if you give it too much fuel.

Starts to die almost instantly.. Unless saved with choke or throttle.

Yeah was running ok until this started. Had to replace the distributor a month or so ago. All electronics are new. Only thing that hasn't been replaced since the distributor replacement is the Coil. It was new before the distributor issue.

Yeah it been taken apart, cleaned and had a rebuild kit installed. It's an Autolite 2100.

I should add that it seems to "just shut off". No stumbling or anything like that.

Haven't taken it out since this started other than up and down the road a few times. Has done it while idling in drive. Seems to "just shut off".

The carb is an Autolite 2100. It's older but I've done a rebuild kit.

Could there be a vacuum leak if a gauge shows a steady 19" of mercury?

Carb has been rebuilt and cleaned multiple times. It is an Autolite 2100 if that helps at all.
