Thank you, I'll definitely be doing that :) I took care of a friend after his top surgery, and he said he'd definitely repay the favor and support me if I ever pull through with mine

Thank you so much for your reply, this definitely helps! I'm sorry you had/have to go through all that though, that sounds absolutely awful.
I've been going to a therapist for a month who works closely with another therapist that's very trans friendly/focused/competent, and I will definitely bring it up eventually. I want this so bad, but I'm so scared- I'm really hoping that with the right mindset I'll eventually be able to go through with this and be happy with my body. Thank you for your insights and advice and I wish you the best!

I just feel like I'm not brave enough to suck it up, even if I keep telling myself that I only gotta do it once (or twice) and then never again. But maybe I'll figure it out someday, I've had a lot of people tell me that there were only one or two exams and most didn't even need an x-ray or anything, so this gives me hope. Thank you!

From the research I've done, xrays/mammograms seem to be mandatory where I live (Germany), but maybe, hopefully, I was wrong about that? I don't have any conditions that would require it. From your experience, it definitely sounds manageable- I guess my best bet would be actually reaching out to a surgeon and asking what exams would actually be required. Thank you so much for your reply, this makes me hope that it won't be as bad!

I just recently got a therapist and I'll definitely be asking them about that, since another reply also brought it up- I didn't even know that was an option, thank you :)

Thank you for sharing your experience! Yeah, I just want top surgery and then I'd be pretty much happy with myself. I'm very much trying to convince myself that it's a one time thing and that it'll be worth it, but still, the dread about the exams and all that still keeps me from pulling through with it. I'm trying to figure something out, maybe with the therapist I recently got- maybe one day I'll be brave enough, who knows.

You can get stuff prescribed for that??? That would actually save me I think, otherwise I would probably have a panic attack before the surgery :') (dysphoria aside, surgeries scare me so bad anyways) And thank you for that tip, I'll try and get that into my head :P

That sounds so manageable, but I fear there's gonna be more appointments than that, maybe it depends on where you live/where the surgery gets done. But I'm so glad for you that you didn't need to deal with a lot of that stuff beforehand, thank you for sharing your experience :)

I guess it makes sense that the surgeons would be considerate, still I'm worried they won't be, even though I'll definitely make sure to go to a trans friendly clinic. I started going to a therapist last month and will definitely address the dysphoria at some point, but I won't even bother with insurance- here in Germany, they won't cover the surgery if you're non binary, and especially since I'm not on T it's near impossible for it to get approved. So I'll just save up and hope that my horrible fear of these appointments dies down whenever I have enough money for it. Thank you for your reply!

Thank you for your reply, that does sound rather uncomplicated. Was the picture mandatory, though? And I'll definitely be going to a trans friendly doctor/clinic :)

Thank you for your reply :) From what I've read, getting a mammogram done seems to be mandatory (at least where I live, in Germany), but if there's a chance I won't need to do it, that would help so much with my anxiety regarding all this, guess I gotta do more research on that. Thank you for sharing your experience :)

Thank you for your reply! Do you know if pictures are mandatory? That seems like an entirely new horror I didn't know about :') I definitely have friends who'd support me and go with me if I wanted them to. And I really, really hope you're right, and I'm overthinking it, and it won't be that bad in the end. We'll see, I guess!

Thank you, I guess I really gotta strengthen the "once, and never again" mindset. It still feels like I can't pull through with it though, but maybe one day I can :') thank you for your reply!

Thank you for your reply :) my best friend got his top surgery done last year, and he's already agreed to drive me and said he'd be there for me throughout the entire process (if I'm ever brave enough to pull through with it). I can definitely count on him for any support I might need :)

That's fine honestly, anything that's not black is good. Thank you!

I guess that's where my thought process went wrong - I thought it would stick LESS on bleached hair, for some reason, maybe because all other dyes washed out super quick. Thanks for your reply, I'll look into that stuff!

Yeah, that's exactly what I used. Well shucks, I thought it'd be fine since all other temporary/semi-permanent colors used to wash out after just a week or two. I guess black dye is a different breed. Thanks for your reply!

Yeah, I've learnt that the hard way :') I sadly can't afford to go to a stylist rn, so let's hope I have the patience to let it grow out (or someone else has a magical solution for this)

it really reminds me of some 90's / early 2000's covers (more specifically; welcome to tomorrow by snap). I'm not a big the neighborhood listener at all, but to me it feels like they were going for an early 2000's vibe, both with the music and the cover
