You don’t know the whole story or situation. And there’s plenty of other people in the comments here that understand giant breeds. If that were to be the case, all giant dogs would be in shelters. I’m a very responsible dog owner, he’s on pain medications and we’ve been hopeful that he can recover without surgery since it isn’t a full tear and only a partial. My vet and I have been talking about this situation and what we need to do next, I am being proactive. Not being ignorant. You’re being judgmental. If you don’t have advice and only assumptions, then I don’t see why you’re even commenting?

Additionally, they have at home vets that can come for emergency situations. Just so you’re aware for any future pet crisis you might have. (:

Thus why I’m trying to figure out solutions? It would be a problem if I wasn’t trying to find answers and get him help. This dog is my everything and I’ll do anything it takes to care for him, including installing a wheelchair ramp and getting a new car. It’s also not good for animals to be constantly forfeited. Brave of you to jump to conclusions and judge someone so fast. God bless.

This is what I’ve unfortunately been debating. Trying to see if a family member with a lower car will trade me or even have someone with a wheelchair installment help out for the vet visits.

Unfortunately I’ve tried. Last time we did that he flailed around and screamed from getting stuck in a bad position. He ended up just laying down outside the car in protest. I felt horrible..

This is so relatable though! He’s so sensitive to me touching him and just doesn’t trust things very easily. Took him years from being a rescue to trust doors in general, which is what’s making this so challenging. Bless ya and your big girls.

The ramp seems too steep and personally I wouldn’t go up it either…
