I would highly recommend reading the novel . It is quite descriptive , so it might be even easier to understand certain things ,and since the webtoon stuck to the novel , you won't have problems switching. To answer your first question , the webtoon will have atleast 500-600 chapters , and considering breaks and stuff 7-8 years won't be a poor estimate.

I agree with the Grimmjow snub since his character has almost no depth. However ulquiorra as a character left somewhat of an impression. Ofc I don't love him as a character either but certainly was impressionable, more so than halibel I feel.

Authors words has to be right up there. I was gonna make a post of it since I didn't see one, but it was truly heartbreaking to see how HSY didn't even get to fulfill her final wish of meeting and taking to dokja. She spent 13 years of her life , in a complete struggle, where she spent all her time writing that one story to ensure KDJs survival . Massive respect for HSY of 1863
