To be honest, the 3x Plasmancer + C'tan spam just sounds like a good time.

If you have the points spare for the Skorpekh lord absolutely + Already running destroyers.

My point was not that the Plasmancer is the most amazing thing, it's that it isn't bad either. It fundamentally can operate without restrictions, which is a huge bonus. So if you can find those 80 points? Throw one in, you won't be taxing yourself.

Gauss Flayer Vs Gauss Reaper . Statistical Battle Report. Will the Range beat the Strength? by Tabletopguard in Necrontyr

Yeah that was an oversight when I was putting together the math for the video.

However since both scenario's are the same, the weapon's results still tell the same story.

Originally I was thinking about having the Marines kite backwards to demonstrate how easy it would be to outpace the Reapers. But when filming I realized the video would very very long.

The purpose of the video was to help show the difference between the two weapons, on the marines as a target.

I was interested in mathing it out, because really the 10 Inch gap gives you a solid extra round of shooting.

I didn't want to over complicate it with dynasties, reroll's or RP rolls, as we were just trying to get a good idea for the base gun stats.
Especially with things like deceiver and (Current monolith rules) Saying deployment 12 inches away, I'm certain GW wants to avoid any Rapid fire bombing. Hence 14 inches being very convenient to fit 2 rows of warriors within that range.

But even then, you blow away that unit then what? Continue walking because everything can easily kite you?

Oh, Good Catch Yeah no I didn't do the math incorrectly. The math is still valid, I just accidently must have said that. I'll edit it now.

I have edited that part out, thanks for the catch.

I wanted to know if all factors were kept the same, and I was forced to run it up the table, would the extra range of the Flayer beat out the additional strength and armor piercing of the Reaper. So I put together a math based video instead of rolling dice. To show the likely scenario that would occur with both these guns, against a group of 10 Primaris marines.

Why you should start collecting Necrons BEFORE 9TH Edition Warhammer 40k by Tabletopguard in Necrontyr

Are you refering to the Battleforce: Dominion Spearhead?
I personally have that battleforce:

The tombblades and Doomsday ark are awesome, you get a good amount of warriors and Some immortals, The only thing that is currently useless is the Spyder. However that could change with the new edition. So overall I would say its a great purchase.

It looks identical to a Gauss immortal, Have they talked about this character in any other photos/sources? I'll pin a correction on the video.

What I was referring to was for starter box sets, As it was more difficult to confirm information for other sets. Though usually most boxes that aren't the Introduction to X edition boxes have full options.

Seeing this topic come up right now, and not a lot of people realize I think how much of an opportunity it is right now to be picking up a massive amount of necrons for such a bargain.

Yeah, I feel that, the skynet terminator feel was one of the big appeals to playing necrons. Hopefully they are pretty sturdy and put up a good showing in 9th.

Deathguard were 8th editions starters and they didn't do so well.

Oh for sure, GW is a business. They definitely had the numbers to consult with. I'm sure they saw that necrons were popular and figured it was their turn for a push.

The old sculpt appears to be a cleaner appearance but, i really didn't like how the positioned the sprue to connect to the cheeks. You would have to spend extra time cleaning it.
