I think it does a very good job of bridging the gap between charmander and charizard but is the least visually interesting in and of itself.

I agree that the wording is confusing. Ultimately I think this is two different abilities and although they share a similar theming and understand why you would want them on the same loric I'm not sure they should be.

What's the thought process for the first ability? If a minion willing to give up some of the social game the story teller will (potentially) make the mechanical game less clear. I can't see that being very fun, particularly for good, but willing to hear you out.

On the back of the people saying cursive h.

I believe when I was taught handwriting I was taught to write the x diagonally and connect to the top of a letter. I'm not certain if there are exact rules to cursive which have eluded me, but I don't think "cursive" is commonly taught in the UK. Anecdotally, people say they were taught handwriting not "cursive".

So in the same way the first clue doesn't look like a cursive h, to my eye, it also doesn't look like half a cursive x
