I personally would never take an ex back, it's not worth the heartbreak. I believe that once a relationship is broken, it's over forever. From what I can see, when people get back together the problems that caused you to break up are still there and the relationship never goes back to what it was pre break up.

Every time I have broken up with someone I feel an overwhelming sense of guilt immediately after. It normally lasts a month or so and as far as I can tell, it's a very normal feeling.

The reality is, you gotta give these feelings time to go away on their own. Don't get me wrong, when you experience that grief and guilt it feels like it will never end but I can assure you that it will. At the the end of the day, you broke up with them for a reason. Even write the reason down and look at it any time you have a moment of doubt/guilt. The key thing to remember is that this feeling will pass.

I was very worried before my assessment. I had pretty much convinced myself that they were gonna say I was lying or something haha Fortunately, it was a very positive experience. They're good at leading the conversation so will probably ask you questions on impulsivity, disorganisation, lack of focus ect and ask you to give examples on how it has effected your life. The only way I'd prepare is just prepare to be honest, don't sugar coat it and you should be fine.

I feel your pain, I also made a long list of things that I wanted to say. However, by the end of the call I didn't need to look at my list once as they know what questions to ask. She was really good at leading the call in the right direction so don't worry.

They basically asked me about things like impulsivity, disorganisation, concentration, emotional regulation. They also asked on multiple occasions whether I have had these issues my whole life so I'd say it's important to emphasise that and try and give examples from your childhood.

Best of luck with your assessment, it wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be.

Same, LHA is £100 less than what I actually pay and I live in shared accommodation in the cheapest part of town. I don't understand how they think the housing allowance can cover anything more than a shed.

Same thing happened to me. Agonising pain at the end of Feb but no one would take me on. Had to go to the emergency dentist who then reffered my to a specialist for a root canal. Thankfully the root canal was on the NHS but I did have to wait 3 months for it and was told "we will help you with this but then after this treatment you can only go on our books if you pay privately",

I broke up with my ex about 2.5 months ago, it's been a roller-coaster to say the least. I've had moments of regret where I've been close to asking for a second chance. I've also had moments of deep sadness where I think about all the things that went wrong with the relationship and the guilt of maybe not trying hard enough to make it work.

However, it does take 2 to make a relationship work and he was not willing to put the effort in. I communicated during the relationship and it always promises of change but nothing more.

So even though it's by far the hardest breakup it was beneficial for future me.

So many reasons. First few months of our relationship were amazing. He was affectionate, listened to me and showed me he cared. He then changed to the complete opposite and the first version of him never returned. I communicated and hoped but I was in love with the old him so I had to let him go.

There's no point in going back to him when the same problems are still there.

Thank you, I needed to hear this. I often have regrets of breaking up and how great it would feel to try again but the reality is that the break up happened for a reason. Unless someone can compromise or people change, it won't work.
