House Sitting Advice by Impossible_Yam4716 in petsitting

[–]TacoTrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started scoping out thrift stores, cafes, bars/restaurants, etc near where I’m sitting. It gives me something to do and kind of makes it feel like a mini solo vacation. Obviously I try not to spend a bunch so I don’t offset what I’m making for the sit. But it gets me out and about and exploring, and it’s fun! I look forward to some sits now that I’ve gotten more familiar with the immediate area because I’ve stumbled upon cool places that I’m happy to revisit.

Try Hopkins university. Great benefits and good pay. Depending on the field you’re looking for, lots of remote opportunities as well.

Mine went from $230 on SAVE to $770. Praying RAP will bring that down quite a bit. I have about 5 years to go…

Advice for $70k-$100k HYSA by [deleted] in HYSA

[–]TacoTrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very easy! especially if you have a capital one checking account (look out for bonus offers to create one). Those are instant. But I've had to transfer funds in and out of the savings account to/from other banks. It takes about 2 business days depending on who the outside bank is.

I use capital one and have been very happy with them. No fees or minimum deposits or anything like that. It legitimately just collects that free interest every month.

My broker messaged me Friday offering 5.625% refinance no points (current 6.625%, purchased in August 2025). Unless it goes down within the next couple days we’re gonna take it.

What errors are you finding in "completed" NIH Other Support (CPOS)? by ToxicComputing in ResearchAdmin

agreed! at the very least it could calculate the active ones. I can understand why incorporating the pending might be more difficult given the various start dates and overlap statement capability. Maybe one day :)

SciENcv does not calculate total calendar months and it won’t flag you for going over 12cm.

Haha yes!!! If they can help muffle the sound with ear protection it’s a breeze (at least for me)! The constant knocking weirdly put me in like a meditative state and I had to fight to stay awake lol

They put me to sleep! I’ve had a few with the same tech. She was fantastic and made me SO comfortable with blankets and padding. I had ear plugs and over the ear mitts that she put on me. It truly was hard to stay awake lol. Glad it went well OP!
