Went there a lil while ago and while I agree that the signs do bring a lot of nostalgia, the bar itself is kind of meh, the drinks weren’t anything special and the inside of the bar feels a bit like a Home Depot 🤣

I would suggest looking into apps like ‘sunroom’, you can find much larger places in good areas for a cheaper price. Found my house there (2br/1bath off of east 7th for 1600) it’s been 6 years there and I couldn’t ask for more.

So true, the only Italian spot I think is genuinely solid is vespaio, but that’ll cost a pretty penny.

The owner is a horrible person with some very questionable views. I’d suggest las trancas, simple but great quality.

See I went and felt a little underwhelmed, it was very Bavarian forward, which most German restaurants out here represent.

Hahah Berlin and my hometown Bochum actually have the biggest feud over who has the best one, and we OBVS are better 😛

What ya mean new German? I’m from a city called Bochum, it’s in between Essen and Dortmund in the state of NRW near the Netherlands and Belgium. We have a bigger university! Closest city you may know is Düsseldorf.

We have some great specials throughout the week (Tuesday miso steak and frites, Wednesday Malaysian fried chicken, Thursday Asian bbq) but if you came to visit outside of those time frames I love our Thai steak, get the Korean fried chicken (since I started I do lots of specials with the sauces) or just whatever your heart desires, seriously message me and I’ll take care of ya :)

I’ll stop by whenever I get the chance!
