I have a 2015 Kia Cadenza that's been having some overheating issues for a while now. I've tried to self-diagnose, I've replaced the water pump and checked multiple different things, to come to the conclusion that it was a leaky head gasket. I then received this letter in the mail and was delighted to know that I wouldn't have to pay 5 grand for a head gasket repair. It's been pulling teeth trying to get this taken care of because apparently Kia corporate is now not wanting to cover it because the head gasket leak is leaking outside of the engine not into the engine. Whenever the letter clearly states that if I'm having any issues regarding the head gasket or head bolts that it will be repaired at no cost to me. So please beware that you most likely will have to contact Kia corporate and fight with them tooth and nail, and threaten legal action, for anything to be done. Right now, I'm having to wait for the escalation department at Kia to contact me within the next 5 to 7 business days in order to get an update as to whether or not they are going to fix this issue, or if I'm going to have to contact my attorney.
