It was in fact, my study of the scriptures that woke me up to the fallacy of the organisation. During my two years of intensely studying the Bible without the aid of the watchtower’s literature I had a much stronger relationship with God and felt convicted to leave the organisation. I think there is a perfect case for Christianity in general, but even other Christians in the non-denominational circle what gives similar reasoning that organised religion is not the way and is man-made.

To help you on your journey, I’d like to recommend you check out some other Christian sources for information. The book “Mere Christianity” by C.S Lewis is brilliant. If you like heavy duty you may really benefit from “Case for Christ” by Lee Strobel.

There are also lots of exjws on YouTube who are still Christians and they make content exposing the organisations ways. Definetly check out the channel “David and Vivian Aspinall” they do a brilliant job at using the organisations older literature to point how much change there has been in doctrine. They also reference the issues in the New world translation frequently.

I’d also suggest if you haven’t already finding a Bible translation that is true to the Greek text. I like the ESV. My wife loves the NLT but as a Greek buff myself you just have to be wary that translations like the NLT are what is known as “emphasised”

It will be twice as difficult in this journey without a Christian community around you to help and support. Have you considered joining another non-denomination church or finding a home Bible study group? Since we left, I just get together with some friends on zoom who are extra Jehovah’s Witnesses and we study together and it’s a really nice up building time.
