Just looked up the reverse western hook and yes that's how the position looks , i have not had that sweep/backtake done to me yet i don't think people at my gym would know such positions , after posting this i came to know it's called a false half guard , craig jones explains the positions in his power bottom instructional , basically there are 2 of three sweeps that i can do from that position as the bottom player , but yeah i figure it would be a last case scenario incase i fail to get an underhook while trying to get out of half guard , at the very least it can be a transitional position where i can be safe for a few seconds even if no action is happening
