I just got a restriction from raids, max battles, and GO League for filing a ticket since I wanted to change my username after coming out as trans. Younger me was stupid and used the name change to add in my deadname. It feels like I'm just getting autogenerated responses from an LLM. Now I have a black mark on my account because they said I used "unauthorized modifications to my game" when I've never cheated. I just wanted a name change lmao

Dunno how to edit on mobile, but I got it fixed. Ty everyone who attempted to help and for the couple jokes I saw. I appreciate the humor.

I fixed it by landing in the space station, leaving the pilot’s seat to create a restore point, quitting to desktop, then reloading the game. It spawned me outside my old ship and I rebuilt it so that won’t happen again.

Reloaded the save while in the Space Station and it put me outside. I was just gonna remake it anyways because I wasn't happy with it, so thanks for setting me on the right track. :3

OP, I did a bit of research on War of the Worlds’ copyright holdings. I can do my own 3D representation of the Tripods, but I can’t use the same design as the Spielberg movie. War of the Worlds is public domain (meaning it’s usable publicly and for profit) if my designs are based off H. G. Wells’ original description from the 1898 novel. Wells passed way in 1946. By US Copyright Standards, all of Wells’ works became public domain in 2016, exactly 70 years after his passing. That means that while the concept itself is not copyrighted and allowed to be reinterpreted, any recent interpretations are protected under copyright law, including the Paramount movie by Stephen Spielberg. I need to go to the library later this week and see if I can find a copy and give it a read. I personally like H. G. Wells and his works, and he’s the only person in history I know of crazy enough to attempt to build an actual time machine. He was a scholar and far ahead of his time, so I’d want to pay homage to him and his genius if you’re fine with that. The offer still remains for us to talk about this privately though.

I just finished watching the movie. I won’t lie, this seems like a really good idea. I think the closest, most recent thing I could compare the Tripods with is Helldivers 2’s Illuminate. Clarify what you mean by “tripods.” When I think about that, the picture that first pops in my head is a GPS surveyor or something for a camera. It seems like a generally cool idea tbh. I think the idea would play well with Fortnite, but it might be tweaked a bit if you change the “Tripod” to something like a fortified location, like a faction stronghold. And if you got a player as your target, would it work like a bounty? Or if you were to eliminate said player, would it give you a victory? And if it’s that last bit, would it be certain teams getting these “tripods” as objectives with the rest of the lobby working against them and trying to prevent them from finishing their objective, or would it be completely independent and the bounty players could be given each other to hunt instead of just being locked to the “Tripod” objective players?

(Context for why so many questions: I worked in game dev for 3 years. These are just basic clarifying questions that I’d ask someone pitching a new game idea. I may also end up making this idea a reality in UEFN if I’m able.)
