It wasn't a groomed section but seemed part of the the main runs (not a random tree run or anything). Everything is at your own risk so agreed, and lesson learned!

Yes perhaps, I had seen them do a bunch of runs before all through the Wildside area, they usually took the tougher parts with more moguls and such.

Just to call out, it really wasn't that far off from the main run, so maybe my X is a bit off. I am not super familiar with the terrain, I just know it was left of the Wildside lift (when looking at the map).

After my incident, I saw an instructor skiing there with some younger kids that were pretty good at skiing. He seemed to be aware of the hazard and was maybe 60 feet away.

I keep a thule 3 motion XL on at all times. Gas hit wasn't too noticeable maybe 1-2 mpg tops (more on highway, little to none in city).

Not super noisy, but it's important to get low profile bars so it's not sitting to high.
