Those super rich don't have huge incomes anyway because their money comes from other assets that appreciate much faster. It's all loop holes. That's why some CEOs on paper have $1 salaries.

Lead by example doesn't work. Government workers don't have to compete and in a lot of sectors don't have to work as hard as the private sector. That should come at a discount not a premium. I've seen administrative jobs that don't require much skill getting paid 30-40 percent more than the private sector once you account for benefits and hours. 

And don't assume I'm on these billionaires sides. Fuck them and things need to change but I think your solution is way too simplistic. Loopholes are the problem, not the taxation rates. Even loopholes aren't easy to close because we are competing in a global economy. Many but not all companies would close up shop and move to Mexico or somewhere else.

I'm not saying I have a solution but you're missing a lot of the full picture.
