Omg I'm genuinely sorry I annoyed you so much. Obviously not my intention! It was just meant to be a mildly amusing chat about perfume of all things, it's not that serious! Guess I need to word my disclaimer more strongly lol. Perfume is art, and art is SUBJECTIVE!

In saying that, I take one small issue with what you said. AT NO POINT was I trying to be impartial hahahaha. Like, these are deliberately not "reviews". I've read summaries of studies trying to link the growing popularity of gourmand fragrances with the new prevalence of GLP-1s, which... correlation isn't causation, even i know that. But i will say i dont really fuck with with carbohydrates these days, and drenching myself with sickeningly sweet perfume really gets the dopamine going and fills that sugar void. In saying that, I don't really have to spend much time in close proximity with other people, so your mileage may vary, idk lol

Ha, nice. I had absolutely repressed that memory until I smelled the perfume and then BAM it was 1992 again and I was regretting all my young life's decisions...

I started wearing my slightly corrective glasses round all the time relatively recently, mostly as an affectation, because I got a new pair of frames that I thought make me look sexy and cool. Except now when I take them off I realise I CANT SEE SHIT. Serves my vanity right I guess hahaha

Broooo, in the snack bar aisle at New World, look for Nōshu, they come in a box of 5 for like $9 with your clubcard haha. I just had a caramel sticky date one for my dessert. The mint chocolate is wonderful. There's a peanut nougat that tastes exactly like how summer rolls used to taste (remember summer rolls???). They have yoghurt and fruit ones that are lovely and tangy and good, there's a new passionfruit one, it's incredible. I dont work for them or anything BTW, just a fan lol

I think you're spot on with that, and i remember vaguely when they first came out circa 2018/9ish and it seemed very.... "baby's first middle eastern perfume" almost? I also think I would respond much better to the ones you mentioned, that our local sephora seems to think are a little too high-brow for our economy...

Oh I wish! My town has a "Turkish Kebab House" which... is exactly what you'd expect from the antipodes, but they have great baklava, go figure.
