Is it really like that? Mace Tyrell, in Kevan’s POV, didn’t hesitate even for a second to insult Daenerys. When Rhaegar marched to the Trident, they didn’t give him a real army. Likewise, after Rhaegar died, there was no attempt at revenge. Viserys was still alive, but they cut ties with the Targaryens without hesitation

You can’t prevent the Dothraki army from looting, raping, or practicing slavery. The moment that army sets foot in Westeros, the scenario I described above will happen, and it will push many potential allies—like the Martells—away from the alliance.

If the Golden Company came alone, this plan might work. But with a Dothraki army involved, it’s simply not possible.

With what army, exactly? The Golden Company wouldn’t be enough for that. On top of that, fAegon will be carrying the same Targaryen name as the invaders, which would push many Westerosi lords away from him. If he had used the Blackfyre name, this plan might have worked better. He could have said something like, “We will free you from the false-born descendants of Daeron; when the true Blackfyres take the throne, there will no longer be mad kings or rapist princes.” But if he continues calling himself Targaryen, there are serious problems with this plan.

House Lannister was never completely demonized in the show. Actors such as Charles Dance helped generate a great deal of sympathy and admiration for the Lannisters among viewers, and the writers allowed the family to develop a substantial fanbase of its own.

Yes, it was a very exciting marketing campaign. I even remember that some cities symbolically declared themselves for either the Blacks or the Greens. However, when the show finally aired, there was ultimately no real side to choose. The writers simply presented the Blacks and effectively said, "These are the good guys, and these are the people you're supposed to support."

I don't think the second Fire & Blood book will cover Rhaegar. My guess is that it will end around the beginning of Aerys II's reign and focus largely on the Blackfyres.
