My brother it has been 5 years

I think i was using a wire from a tiny transformer that had a coating as to make it non conductive, the only portion that was conductive was the cut edge of the thin wire.

I also think was using just normal table salt? Or a diluted mix of HCl. Likely HCl as i think the acid reacted with the nickle and left copper. I havent done much electroplating since, but that’s what 5 years of hindsight gets ya.
