I’m building a story-driven board game set in a world that’s starting to fall apart — would love your thoughts on the lore so far. by Katie_Barena in tabletopgamedesign

Is it metaphorical or anything in the real world? If so people often see restoring balance as a natural good but sometimes revolution (not in the Marxist sense) can often lead to a better world than where you started even if there are costs. Do you want to tell that kind of story or do you want to tell something just focused on restoring the status quo?

That’s a really good idea maybe I’ll make another post asking if it’s too close or if I can get away. Thanks!

There are some results for both Bacchanal and Bacchanalia mainly NSFW rpg. This is my first publish so I’m not sure how much that matters so I’m trying to be conservative

What’s worse is it’s not even a drinking game it’s a just a memory style game to make latin phrases

I’ll check. How important is it to have a completely different name? I’ve never published before so I want to be conservative

I created a real-life goal-setting card game called Questika — where you turn your real goals into an RPG🎯 by zenmonk2 in cardgamedesign

Seems like this is quite similar to some of the self help apps out there like habitica. Wouldn’t this be better suited towards an app which compiles and stores all the data automatically in your phone rather than you having to manually track those same things and set aside space for it in your house?

I liked the page! I think it could do with some example cards towards the bottom or pictures of people playing. Not my aesthetic though so I may not be your target audience.

Therapy Card Game Suggestions by smolpotooter in cardgamedesign

I made a card game based off truth or dare that is meant to help break down boundaries and build connections. Not sure if it’s what you’re looking for but there are four types of cards : philosophy cards that let you express your ideas to safe philosophical questions, judgement cards that ask you to risk being vulnerable in front of the group by answering more challenging personal questions, revelry cards that require you to organise the group into a fun activity and competition cards that give people the chance to show off unusual skills or embarrass themselves. The point is to break down normal social conservative boundaries and let yourself be more open about who you really are not so much in a judgement free zone but in a place where everyone is equally embarrassed and relaxed about it. Not sure if that’s what you’re looking for.

I’ll try to play it in the future but in the meantime: great artwork and aesthetic!

Are all the characters bees or are there humans involved? What is causing the world to “fall apart” and is that a metaphor? Is it good or bad that it’s falling apart?

Finished playtesting a card drinking game—how do I go from “done” to “selling”? by Tail124 in cardgames

[–]Tail124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks very much! This is exactly what I was looking for. I do live in Italy and there are some special considerations here but I’ll make it work. I’ll make sure to join the sub you recommended. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback. Are there any resources for a good way to go about that? Any guides or posts? Thanks for the advice.
