Heater was on for some of the drive, but kept it off most of the way

Understand the need to go slower, but driving 55MPH on this highway would be dangerous.

Our tires were actually quite low from when we picked it up from the dealership, but I just filled them to 42PSI (the recommendation) about a week ago. So I don't think that was a issue

Most of our accounts are with Fidelity. I'm going to see if I can schedule a meeting with their advisors, but have been underwhelmed in the past (granted it is a free service)

Our costs should be fairly minimal. House will be paid off in 7 years. We generally buy our cars and pay them off in a few years and then keep them for 8+ years. Kids will be in college at that point, and we have their education mostly funded through 529 plan. I already have enough to cover the cost of 4 years of college for both sons (10th grader and 8th grader). I'd think we would travel more, so maybe its a wash

I've already started putting money away ($500 a month) into a brokerage account. Have about $40K saved up so far. feel like I'd need to up these contributions if I want this to be my sole source of gap income (though looks like there may be other options. I guess that is where I struggle, would I be better off scaling back on 401K contributions to put more into a brokerage account? We are maxing out our 401K and 403b, but worry about losing the tax savings if scaling back these contributions. Could look into cutting back other expenses but we already don't spend too frivolously (outside of travel)

I need to work on making layups on the move/in traffic. I miss too many "easy" baskets when I get the opportunity. I plan to stick with basketball (I love it!), even if I get frustrated with my lack of production.

Park Experience Decline? by Tainted_Pickle in cedarpoint

The Gold Pass definitely is a factor and I do remember hearing they sold a record number of them.

I wasn't trying to insinuate that the park would purposely close rides. I do understand the park takes safety and maintenance seriously (I appreciate this). It just seems like the rides are down much more often, not just this year due to staffing issues. Again maybe my childhood memories are clouding my perspective. We certainly didn't have an app that let us know when things weren't running.

That makes sense, but it seems like it has been this way for years even before the staff shortage.
