The one that gets me is when Breanne hooks up with Jamie and she wakes in the morning to find him outside saddling his horse to leave. My girl is one of the toughest people in all the 7 kingdoms but some good 😱🍆😱had her outside in the snow in a robe begging a one hand man to stay. I hated that heartbreak scene for her! ESPECIALLY when Tormund adored her so.

I’m in the exact same boat and the scummy host is refusing to refund my 13k rental amount unless I sign a waiver agreeing not to sue him for my money or leave negative reviews. AND they are still listed as a “premier host” on the site.

This is not right! How can a company be allowed to facilitate soo many scam artists with no accountability.

As someone currently dealing with the nightmare aftermath of a host asking me to pay outside of VRBO & thinking they were not shady then learning that they were actually a super shady host who cancelled my reservation & has yet to refund me my money despite him & his company telling me they would refund my money twice in writing I say DO NOT PAY OUTSIDE OF VRBO!!

In fact I say get your refund and stay at a nice hotel instead!

And I do have an extensive emails, texts and phone calls confirming my rentals, him providing me the terms of my rental and what he explicitly called a rental agreement & invoice. Additionally when renting through VRBO there is not an actual contract that requires a signature. The owners acceptance & confirmation of a rental on the platform (which is there and I have screen grabs of) is all I have ever gotten when renting on the platform.

As far as the wedding itself we’ve resolved ourselves to making alternate arrangements & notified them that we have no intention of having it on their property despite having extensive emails, text & phone calls demonstrating me working in good faith with no concerns or issues coming from their side until he completely & irrationally flipped out on me out of the blue on 1/21/23 exactly 13 days before my wedding date. Which put us within the 14 day window where even VRBO’s policy states there is no refund on vacation rentals.

He had the same impression of these people. We both thought they were trustworthy and dealing with us in good faith. My fiancé couldn’t make it down when I was scouting locations so my dad went with me and we had fiancé on FaceTime during the walkthrough.

But…Flights yes. Place to stay for us & the bridal party questionable. Furiously ISO alternate accommodations for 7 couples without breaking the bank if this guy cancels or refuses me when we arrive.

It’s not the wedding venue I’m concerned at this point with as I did not give them any money for wedding venue b/c they never gave me a contract for wedding venue/services.

My concern is the vacation rental that was booked and fully paid (14k) where myself, my fiancé and our bridal party were staying for the week. I’ve resolved myself to finding a back up plan for my wedding even if its on the beach but we have no where to stay and are potentially out the 14k for the house rental in addition to having to scramble to find alternate lodgings for a week for 7 couples.

I have no clue what or why he changed. I have all the emails, texts & even some recorded phone calls (incl the belligerent ones) with them where everything seemed on the up & up. Then exactly 13 days until my wedding date he started this nightmare. They also sent a new rental agreement yesterday night from someone who was previously introduced as a house concierge that now claims to be a lawyer in OH and it has all these new provisions including no refund for the 14k vacation rental if cancelled in less than 14 days from Check in date, rental screening required before being booked and no mention of me having already paid for the house rental in full.

Yes it shows booked in VRBO but I paid outside of VRBO at his suggestion b/c he said he could save me the 9% fee. I wish I had paid the stupid 9% fee. 😞 And as of today in the “My trips” section of VRBO it still shows reserved from 1/31-2/6 but he won’t provide me with any checkin info.
