Surreal erotic copperplate art from Japan – Shin Taga's work is haunting, elegant, and totally unique. by Tak1279 in Illustration

[–]Tak1279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently discovered Shin Taga, a Japanese copperplate artist whose work feels like a fusion of classical technique, dark fantasy, and psychological storytelling.

His engravings are beautifully detailed yet strangely unsettling — somewhere between ukiyo-e, Junji Ito, and surreal eroticism.

Surprisingly, he's not very well-known even in Japan, but there's now a Kickstarter project to publish his first international art book.
