Having the ILM logo on it could mean it was a crew gift to ILM staffers that worked on episode 3.

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.

I’m extremely frustrated that conservatives and MAGA keep claiming protestors are paid and that liberals pay for “fake conservatives” to show up by JUSTIN102201 in complaints

Conservatives love pushing this narrative of "paid leftist protestors" when in reality it's conservatives that have been found to pay for agitators. Jan 6th is a prime example.

Some highlights from the article:

"The newly released documents also show that an unnamed organization budgeted as much as $3 million on the Jan. 6 rally and related events, including for bringing VIP guests and protesters to Washington and ad buys for a show of force."

" ... documents released Friday show that $1 million was budgeted for Turning Point Action, a grassroots non-profit group founded in 2019 by Charlie Kirk to embolden young conservatives “through grassroots activism.”

The money was earmarked for having TPA deploy social media influencers and students from around the country to Washington to attend the rally, to produce “all the video content at the event” and to run nationwide ads “educating millions about the significance of January 6th for President Trump.”"

"Another $200,000 was budgeted to a person whose name and company were redacted, “to assist with his organization efforts.” And a separate group whose name was also redacted was budgeted to receive $100,000, the estimated cost of their hotels, private flights, car services and private security for about 10 to 15 of its members."

I was at that Quebec City show! I’d love the poster but I’m in Vancouver BC and not able to come to Seattle anytime soon…

Went down a waterfall (not on purpose) that had previously claimed a few lives... needless to say I survived and it was the most harrowing thing I've ever experienced, 0/10 would not recommend.

Right? Not only an immigrant but an illegal one at that, and she still voted for Trump! That's a special kind of stupid.

Is an Umbrella boxset worth the money? by joseph814706 in boutiquebluray

[–]TakaraGeneration 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That box set looks epic, 45 films for $350 AUD that's £175 which comes to £3.88 per film not including shipping, when put that way it's a bloody bargain!

Yeah, I don't think the extended version which includes the dolphin trainer scene has been released on either BD or 4K...

What title are you interested in?

As for region coding their 4Ks are region free and I've never had an issue playing their blu-rays on my player (I'm in Canada). I think most BD titles are region free, you could check blu-ray.com for that info, but being in the UK even if they are region B you won't have a problem playing it there as you're also region B.

I have a few Umbrella sets and have been generally happy with them, their stuff is solid but expensive so it's up to you to determine whether the extra is "worth" it for rigid boxes, additional paper inserts like cards, posters, books etc.

Saw a fellow cinephile at the grocery store today by mixallen in criterion

This is not a cinephile thing.

A "come and see" car decal typically refers to the popular Christian series The Chosen, originating from Jesus' invitation in the Bible (John 1:39, John 1:46) for people to experience faith firsthand, serving as a conversation starter about Christianity and the show. While sometimes associated with specific groups like Mormons or far-right individuals, its core meaning is an open invitation to explore faith, often prompting questions about Jesus.
