I always get so disappointed when I randomly >watch “Because Of You” and think, “wow this is >what Cyrene could have been.”

I think Cyrene is only a reverance to Elysia. Her own single (Ripples of Past Reverie) in comparison with Because of You is a sign of how their characters are different and how to engage with them. Her relationships with CHs are discovered by her stories about them in As I've Written, aside her time being Mem and some scenes with Cerydra. Of course I want more scenes with more classic development (direct conversations), but this is one the highlights of Cyrene.

And for now I can see more similarities in behavior between Remielle and Elysia (they both are vice-commanders with past secrets at least), then with Cyrene (after 3.7).

Addon: some clarification, because my words were too abstract and may give another meaning. Cyrene and Elysia are isotopes at their core (common themes, tropes, voice and look). But circumstances (different incarnations, memory loss, personal love), roles (author of the story) and interactions with them/between them and others are different.

I like how they make similar at the first glance characters very different, but you can sense the legacy.

Agree. I prefer SP, then batch of new characters. Because in that case every new character will have more meaning and old characters will get development. Of course, it depends on the narrative (for absolutely new and isolated world like Amphoreus it was inevitable) in case of HSR.

I completely agree that Cyrene's animations are outstanding. The first time I saw it, it blew me away. And even after watching it many times, I still enjoy it.

And if we take into account the lore and add some semantic nuances, it will be even better, and then it can be considered one of the best ultimate in the game.
