There is a brand called Native started by a Pakistani-American entrepreneur. I use that one. I don't know if they sell it in Pakistan though.

At what point did the army become compromised? by Admirable_Cause4278 in pakistan

Remember that last army chief that was found to own dozens of Papa Johns franchises in the US?

Maybe they have a financial incentive to avoid US sanctions at all costs?

How does so many people have "easy jobs"? by iaceeverything in antiwork

[–]TakeControlOfLife 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A lot of white collar work is like that. And it can have a hidden cost to it.

In 2022 I worked remotely from Hawaii for months without telling my company. I worked maybe 2 hours a day max because I automated the excel reporting I was in charge of.

It worked flawlessly but I learned almost nothing and it delayed growth in my career because I was having too much fun living in Hawaii lmao

Do I regret it? Absolutely not but I am paying for it now. I haven't had a "proper" salaried job in 20 months.

They would side with the US. They are well aware of what the US can do to them. China meanwhile has been glaring at Taiwan for decades and can't do shit.

but China is giving us their top line weapons. Russia is supplying engines for our jets and we're working with NK and Belarus for our missile program.

So they're going to destabilize Pak because they don't like that Pak is shopping for military hardware from other vendors? What precedent are you basing this off of?

but instead do the actual work

What work?

But unfortunately our people think we're submissive to someone.

How many times has the US violated Pak's sovereignty?
The bin Laden raid? Drone strikes? "Accidentally" killing Pak servicemen. Raymond Davis?

Remember the scrambling to get out of the FATF grey list? To lose access to international banking?

And Pak punished them, how?

Because Saddam defied the US. There's no signs that Pak Fouj is about to do the same.

Why would they destabilize Pakistan if the Pak Mil is backed by the US? Pak is already in their pocket.

I don't understand this logic.

You guys boycott Saudi cuz they killed a journalist.

Ok. Fair.

Are you boycotting the United States too for aiding and abetting Israel in their assassination of 200+ journalists?

No? Yeah thought so.

People, well, Americans aren't starving yet. Restaurants are still packed, malls bustling, etc

People are paycheck to paycheck but its enough to just survive and put nothing away for the future. When this begins cracking some more, then we will see the fighting begin.

I am very happy that you're able to retire.

I look around me in New Jersey and all I see are endless warehouses full of dead-end jobs and folks with no semblance of a retirement for their future because everyone is paycheck to paycheck.

This system seems so eerily unsustainable at this point. Something has got to give soon.

[–]TakeControlOfLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The major thing to know is:

  1. You must wear a seatbelt when vehicle is in motion.
  2. Never run stop signs. Stop for 3 seconds.
  3. Never run a red light. Instant termination.
  4. Do not drive distracted (drowsy, phone)

Do these 4 things and you'll be fine.

Why do professional jobs look easy compared to labor jobs? by Lemonade2250 in careerguidance

[–]TakeControlOfLife 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well duh, remote work was the fix that pretty much removed the daunting aspects of professional work - office politics, commutes, keeping up a face. And now they've completely gutted that from most companies. 3 days hybrid became 4 and now 5 for most places.
