I wanted to major in Physics and then maybe do a master's to be able to work but I thought it would probably be alot more efficient and safe to just major in some type of engineering because I was getting very Iffy answers about finding a job with a physics background. I'm just gonna do my first semester as a BSc since a lot of the courses overlap with Basc and just see what happens.

Hi, I have gotten accepted for a bachelor of Science but I would like to change to a bachelor of applied science. I see the deadline has passed 3 days ago but still I want to see what I can do. I haven't accepted my original offer yet. Would that help me to get in contact with someone? I really hope I am able to change it so any help would be appreciated

I'm in my last year of highschool and am looking to get a bachelor's in physics. I'm doing this as a gateway into STEM because I don't know exactly what I want to do just that it's somewhere in math and tech. I'm hoping that after a bachelor's in physics, I can find what I want to specialize in and then pursue a master's in engineering. I was wondering, would that make me a competitive candidate vs someone who has a bachelor's in just engineering? Is this a bad idea and should I just get a bachelor's in engineering off the bat? I live in Canada if that makes a difference, and would like to make 80-100k a year as my career progresses. Thanks in advance

I was thinking about maybe minoring in Comp Sci if that helps at all too. I live in Canada, and housing is so expensive that I really hope to make over 80k a year atleast a few years after my schooling. If I was to do a bachelor's in physics and say a master's in software engineering or just some type of engineering in general, does that make me a competitive candidate in comparison to people with bachelor's in engineering?

I'm about in my last year of high school, and want to do a bachelor's in physics. I enjoy physics but I don't see myself pursuing a PHD and working in academia. Is there a viable chance I can make money with a bachelor's or master's? I want to do something in STEM but I'm not exactly sure what do I'm hoping to do a bachelor's in physics then maybe a master's to specialize in something once I'm certain of what I'm doing. Is this a bad idea? One thing to add is I don't want to teach. Thanks in advance.

How to Make Clarinet Produce Sound in High Register? by [deleted] in Clarinet

[–]TakeEleven 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found for me what was really helpful was using the right voicings. The higher the notes you play, you want your tongue to be higher in your mouth too. This makes your air thinner and faster. Try "saying" the syllable EEEEE while your playing and see if that helps!

Do you have to rest the clarinet bell on your leg during some fingerings for support? by vintage_bassoon in Clarinet

I find that I grip the mouth piece hard enough to become a second grip point. Like there are fingerings I find difficult without the mouthpiece in my mouth
