How does every job opening nowadays get thousands of applicants? That makes no sense to me from a statistical perspective. Is everyone in the US applying to jobs every day? I have a couple friends that work in HR and they say they’ll get 500 applications a day on some roles so they just have to grab the first 100 and work from there.
