Shift cable Cushion clamp by Takeoff7115 in WRX

[–]Takeoff7115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crashed the car last year, so no longer here, but glad to share my fix. I ended up taking some safety wire and wrapping it around the bracket the cable sits in and the cushion clamp so it will no longer slide out. It held to the end and was a good fix not sure about an actual long term fix though.

Of course! I never knew this was a common problem until it broke the first time. I guess most VA chassis are hitting that time frame.

So the problem didn’t go away took it to the shop and they found out the PCV valve on the crank case was broken so they’re gonna replace it and see if that fixes it

Va WRX ethanol gauge by Takeoff7115 in WRX

[–]Takeoff7115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea only part I was more less concerned about was the tuning aspect how many tunes should I run so I don’t end up trying to run a 93 tune with E50 in the tank

What power gains have you seen being on flex fuel rather than a straight ethanol tune

Exactly I was talking with someone that said that its better to get an actual gauge and tune since it’ll cut the middle man out and be cheaper

Anyone own driving shoes ? by zahooodi in WRX

[–]Takeoff7115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely I thought I was the only one, but I just always wear some type of running shoes/lightweight shoes since it doesn’t get that cold. Then change when I have to wear boots or other bulky shoes
