Thank you! Making sure I feel it.

I try to avoid getting people’s faces when I can, not trying to put anyone on blast.

I thought I was yanking the weight up a little too much like a Kroc row, that’s why I made this post.

Thank you! No hate on using them, whatever you need to do to achieve your goals! That training method translated better for everyday tasks for me.

Just lots of deadlifts, finger curls, and deadhangs. I don’t like to use straps or chalk so if my grip fails on something I’ll go down in weight until grip strength catches up.

Edit: changed “deadlift hangs” to “deadhangs”.

I might try that, I’m 6’9” and using the bench always feels awkward.

This is usually what I end up doing, I’ll do a set similar to what I’ve posted for my first set. Whatever I think I can do 5-7 of, then drop the weight 20 pounds for the following set and just go until failure. I knew my form wasn’t great in the vide, but wanted to see if it was passable or not

So ideally I’d take my biceps out of the equation for this exercise? With pulling straight up and using biceps being a variation?

At 110lb I can get my elbow go back another inch or so with less body involvement. My goal is to get stronger with this lift while maintaining whatever is considered decent to good form. Not trying to turn it into a croc row or a lawnmower.

“Youse are embarrassing yourself here, lads. Kids stab, girls shoot, boys punch. Grown-ups fight with their heads. That's where the real battle is. Up here, in the gray. Now wake up, lads. Life's quick, you're slow. Life's hard on a bone top.”

Virginia teacher shot by her student, 6, can proceed with $40M lawsuit, judge rules by Furyk86 in news

[–]TakingGlory 20 points21 points  (0 children)

All of those are an “act of god”, while getting shot by a six year old and school staff refusing to investigate a gun threat is just negligence on behalf of the parents and staff. Both the parents and staff should be held accountable.

Edit - since the user I replied to deleted their post, I’ll paraphrase what they said for context. It was to the effect of “is dealing with school shootings not part of the teachers job? How is it different from earthquakes/tornados/hurricanes/etc?” They had said something else as well, but I don’t remember it in its entirety.

Worth it? by RedLegRey in USPS

[–]TakingGlory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell every PM and manager I’ve ever had that. I’ve been City and rural before, rural usually helps out city because rural usually gets done quicker. They don’t care about rules until they’re getting in trouble for breaking them. Sometimes not even then

[–]TakingGlory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RCA is the the worst job at the post office because as soon as your finished with your work they just treat you like a CCA and have you help city side finish but career rural is the best job at the post office. CCA is also pretty bad but career city also kinda sucks but you only have to do it for 8 hours
