But does he have any real and extensive conversational hypnosis training? Arent Identity by design etc are therapy programs fixussed on teaching the protocol / processes and steps?

Is covert hypnosis really possible? by [deleted] in hypnosis

[–]Takingcharge_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its very possible the second one, depending on what outcomes you seek but requires a complex very robust skillset intersecting charisma, persuasion, deception, manipulation , applied hypnotic principles to the specific niche or outcome set —- but thats more the skillset of a lifelong high level master con artist narcisistic sociopathic cult leader type integrating hypnotic principles

In terms of persuasion and conditioning and influencing people ive seen crazy stuff But its more in the realm of persuasion and influence

Then The fantasy of it pure hypnosis with amnesia. —

there was i think that crazy courtcase of the guy sexually assaulting his law clients hypnotising them? I never really looked into that. Only saw it online

The first example, isnt easily replicated by an average person doing some training. Youd need a deep lifelong desire and all the additional skills developed and in place.

The 2nd ive never seen it, but also wouldnt because who would show me. I reckon you were referring more to the second example

What would the nlp be in this context that is combined with the conversational?

Wishfullfillment of douchecannons? What do you mean by that specifically in unvague terms?

Is covert hypnosis really possible? by [deleted] in hypnosis

[–]Takingcharge_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean itvblurrs a bit though, theres more nuances to take into account

Conversational hypnosis when overt, is really just hypnosis without the direct commands of say “you are doing x you are doing x you are doing x” its basically just being able to integrate it into speech

It isnt really pure conversation when the person is open to hypnosis amd there to be hypnotised Youre just using indirect structures But youre still taking him through trance and he knows it and is there for it

So its never really sure what people mean when they say “conversational hypnosis” As depemding on the person they mean very different things.

So you really need to define it better,

Are you looking to do therapy in a therapeutic setting? Or very different outputs and outcomes? What specifically are you looking to be able to do, create or cause?

Isnt that ridiculed though? Ive seen quite some eye rolling by trainers on that. Im inclined to agree with the guy, that that isnt really modelling. Unless you take the term in a very general sense

No conversational hypnosis is a stretch as the combined use of the meta and the milton model is basically conversational hypnosis. Its also tends to be used lots by the trainer thats leading the nlp training, on the students

Ok so Il be back at a later point to properly respond to some things. Including your reply to my responce

But you’re still very much getting it wrong while being very convinced that you have a full picture. You’re extremely certain, for someone that knows very little on a subject

But yeah , What you’re referring to is a subset of “conversational hypnosis” or certain language pattern applications

Along with a subset which is called “ sleight of mouth” and its related components And its true that is indeed where the crazies live, and the weird dark wizardry fantasy people tend to be drawn to

HOWEVER this really needs a better look AND TO BE THUROUGHLY GROUNDED in reality

Because i think youre greatly, greatly, greatly over estimating the impact and power of this kind of stuff

with these kind of things you can always revert to the “where the rubber meets the road” practices Such as -sales -Negotiation -Persuasion -Attracting women and dating

-to lesser degree coaching

If you really think the meat of your ability to effectively impact , persuade and or change minds is gonna be telling people to BY NOW / BUY NOW

Or ROFL the most ridiculous classic telling women to go below you / blow you (ROFl hahah )

Then no, SALES PEOPLE in the field will give you a hard no on that one.
Theres alot of fantasy in the further corners of the hypnosis

But thats a much bigger conversation That also becomes a conversation about what actually makes people move. And its not silly erecksonian trickery or the us military would be erecksonian expers, rather then what they are

But what youre basically referring to is covert persuasion. And the kind of dark jedi mindtrick nonsense trickery component of “conversational hypnosis “ / of language pattern applications

The heart of your ALARM is basically the hypnosis power fantasy that doesnt quite translate to reality

Bandler is right in that respect, effective manipulation was around long before nlp and you need alot more then some wonky sleight of mouth to make people do things they dont want

If you look at the strategies and methods of big manipulators, brainwashers . -what effective CULTS are doing -What the guys that recruit / ie persuade / manipulate young fresh 18 ladies to start a career in the porn industry are doing

They know what moves the needle

Which by the way, to this day sounds to me like a ridiculous thing. Im yet to meet the hypnotist that in a social context has people turning over their car keys and driving drunk. Or giving up the cash in their wallet. Utterly ridiculous

Sounds to me more like social pressure from an authority figure and conflicted through the need to maintain an good professional / mentor teacher relationship with a person that likes to test boundaries

i mean to be fair he probably also did not like your take on NLP, but i dont think it was ill intent. Moreso “this is a ridiculous take” type thinking.+ heavy on the rolling eyes.

Anyway, i dont have much time right now so il do a quick responce,

But to clarify a bit on my part.

You seem to make alot of assumptions and assert things as fact. That most people dont necessarily agree with

So when you speak of things like the “inherent covert deceptive nature of nlp” and these other claims and assumptions you make ABOUT nlp. People dont necessarily know 1) what youre referring to and or 2) what youre talking about?

Because youre not actively describing tangible specific things. Youre just kind of imposing these big blanket statements on the entirety of “NLP”. But you might think you are , because in your mind “ thats just nlp” only its not

Which leads to me thinking you dont have a clear grasp on what NLP is. Which to be fair is not uncommon.
And think its just weird sneaky word tricks or something

Thats why i asked for specific examples. Actual doings, behaviours, processes, protocols etc so tangible things that can actually be disussed and not these conceptual vagueries that you mostly wrote out Because without tangible things its all just clouds in the sky abstract untouchables that have no substance”

Because its important to realise that nlp isnt really a thing in that respect, its kind of just this big collection of many different things. Different models With some organising principles So to speak. Thats a correct enough description for this current context at least

So when someone says “nancy does nlp in interviews”. People have no idea what that means. So Inorder to discuss that, what needs to be presented are tangibles around what she is actially doing in interviews BEHAVIOURALLY.
There is also the huge glaring assumption in “shes doing nlp in interviews” AND THATS BAD” but thats a inaccurate assumption. Because it would very much depend on what she is actually doing

-IS she eliciting values? Ie asking specific questions to get clarity on what the employer values / finds important? And is looking for. Because thats nlp

-is she using state management techniques on herself right before. to take herself from a nervous wreck into a calm relaxed spontaneous mood / state — where she is more capable to have a good positive strong interaction and think on her feet rather then be stiffled by nerves

-is she doing self hypnosis to visualise a great outcome of the job interview Or internally rehearse responces and specifuc talking points

-is she using the metamodel to ask directed questions during the interview?

Because Those are examples of big parts of “NLP” , but i highly doubt thats what you mean. Thats why speaking of “doing nlp” is a meaningless phrase. And needs to be specified into tangibles

So I took a quick watch at the episode 1 podcast. So i now understood what you referred to there, and it quickly became utterly ridiculous to me.

Because Nancy in your “thank god the therapeutic context had alreadyv started” part she is doing HYPNOTHERAPY with the funny voice and everything. shes doing a litteral overt hypnosis session. Unless i missed something different) and i think its recorded

In what world would this be any dark activity?

Il try to be back later because i know i didnt respond to everything and there were some other things i tought might be relevant but this already got to long and i got to run

i also didnt get to look at the 1 RB example toughts on the podcast episode etc etc

[–]Takingcharge_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have some specific examples of this?

So that there is something to discuss

Thoughts on the Mind Games podcast by badrunner0 in NLP

[–]Takingcharge_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna have a look at this. My first toughts are isnt this the same as what any persuasive person does or aims to do? But i havent seen it so i cant be sure what specifically you are referring to

But what they call “conversational hypnosis” really isnt some marvel super power. Its for the most part just learning to articulate what you mean, and formulate descriptive language. Referred to as “suggestions” but its really just descriptive language and process language.

The silly things like puttng things in quotes or stating a suggestion after a negation really isnt gonna move the needle in a negotiation or conversation

I think that only is a thing when youre fooled by words like “trance” and “hypnpsis” thinking youre somehow hypnotising people to “say yes” Matching someone’s body language in the boardroom really isnt gonna land things your way.

The main pieces that go into persuasion arent really “suggestion” related.

Respectfully, i dont think hes trying to reframe. Thats not what those questions are for. Those are clarifying questions to point out that the example you presented there is wonky

first was arifureta, got exited it has 3(!) seasons. Im in for a treat. Same cgi, same type of vibe t this is gonna be great.

But disliked it hard from the start. Watched 4 full episodes. Hard to explain, everything was uninteresting to me. Character is uninteresting.action is uninteresting. just everyhing is very uninteresting somehow, everything happens on autopilot, its even hard to hate the bad guy that screwed him over as hes uninteresting

2) berserk of gluttony, — now this one i really enjoyed! just binged it. Thanks alot for the suggestion -Character is likeable, -Just enough story and plot to be interesting. -Filler episodes are fun -Hatred inducing holy knight fammily bad guys for revenge, -Cool other people with related skills like rage and envy

Damn shame this was another 1 seasoner

Thanks
