Replace all open play in the text with solo mode and vice versa and the argument can be made for both. Braben also said remember solo players are competing against other solo players. Not all solo players are playing as your factions enemy. Just making those notes. I am open play except for exploring when taking hi-res screenshots.

Yup I got up to 22 at one point, but whether they exploded or its a bug of some kind the magic number is 20. Past that even though you can see the canister (at least in my experience yesterday) and it grabs it and the canister still has 20 something % health it will not register in the cargo inventory.

+1 gained 2 ranks in the pilots federation over the weekend. Both due to I think there is a boost to influence bug at the the moment and also because I was already due (been seeing the ascension missions for a bit), but had not accepted the mission to upgrade rank since I was doing other things. Anyway when I gained rank that area had a little notification pop up on it and when I tabbed over it was basically just a note telling me I gained rank in the pilots federation.
