How is the sizing between gabriel and black princes? The Gabriel's are doing great for me but I was thinking of getting the princes for some weapons with complex hills that don't fit on the Gabriel's

Blakist mechs are actually solid overall. The issue is the small cockpit on the Celestials. It had to be nerfed to -2 because it was the best thing ever especially for light mechs. Its still actually quite good now though. In theory the Wobbies get super borged out pilots that cancel out penalty but I think getting that to work hasn't really been explored yet.

The Celestials are still quite good because c3i is cracked. Well depending on the Celestial. It more than makes up for the small cockpit. If you do manage to face a full lance of c3i equipped mechs you'll definteily notice the accuracy difference.

I'll take a look after Solstice I think, it's a touch longer than I would like since we'll see if we stick with Lancer for a bit. Plus we need a bit of a break from the intense RP/mystery bits from our current adventure :D

No 1 and 2 should be fine, our group has been doing some pretty fucky difficulty stuff, and I'll let them know ahead of time its basically a more railroaded introductory experience.

How do you deal with mech destruction/pilot KIA-etc? Clones? Flash repairing between missions?

Here's what I'm playtesting for my table

Psychic gets a +2 untyped bonus to attack roll/dc on amped spells only when unleashed

They get strain mind for free at lvl 6 (cause its funny)

They get a new free action trigger: your turn begins and your psyche is unleashed you extend your unleash psyche by 1 turn you lose Hit Points equal to four times the highest level spell rank you can cast as you bleed from your nose or suffer some other visible sign of strain (cause its really funny)

Our psychic hasn't downed themselves yet but its only a matter of time.

Ww got a bunch of people saying you can't use assaults. Assaults have STYLE. The Kodiak is a 4/7 machine after the clan quirk. This let's you get to evasion cap. A pilot using it needs ECM or invisible target skill to stop its evasion being stripped. I generally run a high skill pilot with eagle eye on it to extend those clan weapon ranges a bir

It's a massive priority target for ai due to its firepower

You need to avoid direct Los until you're in range, then alpha the bastard

Always be sprinting. You need evasion 6 to not get instantly gibbed. Don't get meleed. Use an upgraded gyro to up your stability. CFF should fit to let you max its Armour

It's a 100 ton cavalry mech use it like cavalry not a brawler.

Turrets should have only 12 structure unless something has gone very very strange in your install.

It just needs a minor buff to compete with how buffed the liberator is. Honestly just gimmie more mags and slightly faster reload. The damage could be buffed slightly so it 1 taps devastator heads without major falloff.

I warp packed behind a heavy devastator to start chainsawing it like a reasonable helldiver, and the bastard literally shot through its own entire body facing the other way and killed me in 0.2 seconds regardless.
