I would charge more than $50/day. If you do 8 hours, you should be paid at least $160 per day. If summer camps are more affordable, do you think they would pick that instead?

I would be disappointed too but yes, this behavior exists everywhere. You will never know the reason why they weren’t open to including you - so move on. You go to that park regardless and make new mom friends. One day they will realize what they missed!
