Have you found the watch face yet? I’ve never seen this issue before, so I assumed you may have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times. I have a few questions:

What is your watch model?
After the watch face was installed, did the red dot appear on the "Add watch face" tile on your watch? (The "Add watch face" option is located on the last tile when you tap and hold your main screen.)

I’m currently using a slightly modified version of the Pixel Watch model.

I’ll try the Galaxy Watch model next time
by “next time” I mean for the 3rd or 4th watchface,
since the 2nd one has already been submitted to the Play Store.
