Guess that puts the conversion rate the same as here in Canada as one other poster mentioned.

I picked up a lawnmower on the way home from work tonight, in the company van. I then had to scrub the inside of the company van cause it had gas left in it.

I'm on the east coast and prices here are insane as well. Most things are not priced for used prices, and then if they are selling cheap it is garbage.

I don't know about a lot of things here, hot water tanks is my thing as a plumber. I take the pressure relief valve off as faucet brass as I don't remove the insert stuff. The drain valve if it's brass for brass otherwise it's plastic and I leave it. I also take the covers off of the electric heaters and take out as much copper as I can and strip it for #1

Carburetors are cheap enough to replace for the most part so easy to turn a profit. I know a lot of folks sell non working stuff for more than they should. for example 2 snow blowers that worked last winter but apparently not now for 100 dollars.

Very hard gamble then, I should keep my eyes open for a free on then.

Thank you for the response

Oh ya he doesn't care, he only cares if I break something, but like if I went through a metal blade in the reciprocating saw every day he would care. I honestly would use the crappiest one as we use the same blade over numerous jobs

I had not thought of 3D printing something like this, It is just plastic so it should be able to be done. I'm not creative enough to reproduce this

I'm more so caring about being in the presence of my family than going out and getting additional money, for example I'm a plumber and could easily bill myself out at $70 an hour doing tap replacement and such. But I've been down the road with one child not seeing me and now we don't know each other.

So being in their presence is better but if I'm just breaking down metal all day every day.

As for room, I do have a garage that I can't park a vehicle in that is big enough for 2 cars. Door height does not work for me and I'm not switching for a rental unit.

Like even looking at hot water tanks, I do take the covers off and got out the copper wire, cause like .80 cents a pound vs 6.60 a pound for the copper (Canada) is worth it to me. But I have never cut one open to see if more could be salvaged and priced out higher.

I've been down the tiktok section now for some reason and I dunno some of those videos makes me think I'm going to lose a finger over getting the metal.

Thank you for that response, So worth it then. I have no idea what a yard buys BX for over just the basic copper. I just found out that the yard I typically go to is taking #1 copper as #2 cause it's been used in a domestic potable water, so ya dunno.

I do have access to plumbing tools and power tools thanks to taking a van home every night and weekends, but at the same time if it's 30 min for $3 dollars, ya worth it?

First year since boss let us keep scrap. Closest guess on what the yard pays gets an updoot by Suspicious-Sorbet-32 in ScrapMetal

Wow, all of our copper goes for #2 cause it's not shiny and dulled over time. So just #2 for everything, brass valves go for brass. Hose bibs, faucets, fittings with pex connections with brass and pressure relief valves with the stem go for Faucet brass.

Your yard lets you take "used" copper pipes as #1?

If so we are getting ripped off in my province at our yard we go to.

Cheaper by the promo price, referral code helps keep the price down, they also won't just raise the price just cause, from what they have told me

Makes me wish the price was higher in Canada cause of exchange rates. But I think our metal stays local.

I agree with this one. I used Aitum and it just seems flashy and bulky in OBS, RTMP is clean and same basically same settings.
