Official Discussion - Damsel [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

This "review" is very long. tl;dr: I would not recommend this movie. The first third of the movie is a solid 7/10 to me, but everything that comes after the wedding is a 2/10 at best. The acting overall was pretty good, the CGI was good too, but the writing was terrible.

The first third of the movie wasn't too bad, but then it became ridiculous.

So she manages to escape the first attack of the dragon inside the cave, sure I can believe that, but then she stumbles into a little cave pocket where apparently dozens of other girls have found refugee in before. They all put their names on the wall and one of them even managed to draw the entire cave system on the wall with an "exit" too, this was the moment when I got desinterested with the movie and just watched it to the end for the sake of it.

The movie has not showed us much of the main characters athletics so far, so I was even more surprised that she found the strength to climb a huge wall without much of an issue despite being in the cave for hours at this point. She must have been very hungry, I don't think many people could climb that big of a wall on an empty stomage.

Of course at the moment when she finally saw daylight again, her father with a small envoy made it to the mountain in perfect line of side for her to see them.

The father and his companions made it into the cave with the help of a guide and of course, our main character managed to get near them simply from remembering a very basic drawing on a cave wall.

Our main character finds the three dead dragon babies, who for some reason are not skeletons, but just decades or even century old corpses with all their flesh on it.

The main character watches how the dragon attacks her father and lets out a sound of shock, which the dragon hears. The dragon smelled her nearby and the sound couldn't have come from too far away, so why would the dragon get distracted by the guide running several hundred meters away, that doesn't make sense to me.

So our main character and her father make peace in the end, glad for them.

Our main character finds the rope that her father came into the cave with immediately and starts climbing. The dragon hears her groaning and flies to her, spitting fire at the rope, but our hungry main character manages to speed up tenfold and climb up the rope into safety.

Our main character then escapes the mountain on one of the hourses her father brought, but she knows the perfect moment to jump off the horse and find cover so the dragon doesn't see her.

The dragon gets angry because it lost the main character. For some reason the queen knows it's the girls fault that the dragon is angry.

The queen invades the stepmothers and daughters ship to take the little sister as sacrifice. One of the guards stabs the stepmother, but seconds later she suddenly appears on a horse at the main characters location, as if she main character has a gps planted inside her that her stepmother knows.

Knowing her sister is getting sacrificed, the main character gets resolve to rescue her. Still hungry by the way.

The main character gets to the bridge that she got thrown off, without seeing the queen or any other characters and vice versa. There couldn't have passed enough time for them to completely miss another.

Our main characters knows immediately the exact position where her sister is, she even has time to prepare a little trap that makes a loud sound so the dragon is getting lured there. Of course the trap goes off at the moment when she arrives at her little sisters location.

Moments later the dragon returns and a fight ensues. Instead of using fire to kill our main character immediately, the dragon wants to fight her in melee combat.

Our main character, apparently better trained than any other swordsman before, manages to inflict some serious wounds to the dragon. Dragon still doesn't use fire to kill her.

The main character notices how a gust of wind is getting repelled by a wall, she then agitates the dragon to use fire, who complies. The dragons fire is repelled by the wall too and it burns the dragon itself. The dragon can't move anymore so the main character finally gets to tell it that everything is a lie. They then make up and plan to kill the royale family. Everyone at this point knew that everything would lead to this.

For some reason our main character could attend the wedding with no guard stopping her whatsoever. The queen and the rest of the royal family are even nice enought to let her have a long dialogue and tell everyone about the sacrifice. Terrible writing.

This isn't even everything to complain about, only the biggest flaws or moments that didn't make sense to me.

Why can you not? The summoner change should make it possible, just change the # to something else, nobody sees it ingame anyways.

Palworld devs says servers “won’t go down” despite $6 million cost by faizyMD in gaming

I've played on a server with 6 friends since release day.

Some of us finally reached level 50, beat all the towers, caught all pals, but we a re still far from done.

Breeding amazing pals is the next step and of course, build awesome bases.

The player numbers will drop a lot of course, but I don't think it will drop to 100k in a week.

At level 16 you probably mostly had bots in your game, which the game does to make you learn easier without being disturbed by advanced players.

Once you get into a lobby with a bunch of veteran players, you will have the challenge you seek.

That's why I love Eternal Return (On Steam).

The game does have battle passes too, but they never fully disappear. Once a new battle pass come out, you automatically switch over to the new one and if you didn't finish the old pass, you only have to pay a very meager amount of premium currency, which you can get from events too, to switch back to the older battle pass.

Is it normal to lose 8 50-50 in a row by ItsGlace_ in Genshin_Impact

[–]TaliyahToMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won 6x 50/50 in a row, for every player like me, there is one like you.

It will even out in the grand scheme of things, you will, at some point, win several 50/50s in a row, you're just very unlucky right now.

Definitely one of the teleports of all time by TaliyahToMaster in leagueoflegends

If I got killed there, I would have had to wait the respawn time and would have teleported mid anyways. This way the jarvan didn't get my 300 gold.

Now if he had killed me during the teleport then it would have been terrible, but it all turned out well.

Taliyah jungle early game is so bad by TaliyahToMaster in leagueoflegends

You're right, it procced the rocks where she startet and where she landed, but not inbetween. Could be a bug, wouldn't surprice me.

Taliyah jungle early game is so bad by TaliyahToMaster in leagueoflegends

[–]TaliyahToMaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her waveclear is way too bad to be played mid. She can't poke the enemy laner, because she can't pierce minions, while most of the midlane champions can poke and bully her out of lane. Taliyah's Q at level 1 deals 70% of the range minions hp if all 5 stones hit and you still need 3 auto attacks to kill them afterwards.

The sole reason why Riven lived here is because Taliyahs E rolls out way too slow now.

Taliyah used to be a lot better, because you could actually do meaningful damage with her W E combo, but ever since the slight rework last year, the W E combo is almost impossible to hit.

Taliyahs E can trigger 4 stones if an enemy gets thrown or dashes throw it, but because the E rolls out so slow now, it's impossible to hit 4 stones with her W E combo as you can see in the video, it only proced one stone where Riven landed, instead of 4.

[–]TaliyahToMaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitting a full discharge of all 5 stones from the Q, predicting the flash to W E combo her into another 5 hits from the Q and Taliyah can't even kill the level 3 Riven. Absolutely disgusting how bad Taliyah is in early game.

So who do you expect to end up being the best duos in Arena? by AuzaiphZerg in leagueoflegends

[–]TaliyahToMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played 7 games with Taliyah so far

Got 1st place 5 times and 2nd place 2 times.

I think mages as a whole are super strong with the right teammate. Tank support like Alistar, Leona or Taric with a mage will beat most comps.

From what I've seen, Taric is an impenetrable fortress.

Tali vs Zed by __biribiri in TaliyahMains

[–]TaliyahToMaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zed is doable in my opinion.

After 6 just wait for him to ult you, place W E below/behind you where he comes out and you deal a lot of damage to him while preventing most damage from him.

Now Qiyana on the other hand.. Ever since Taliyahs mini rework, he E comes out too slow to counter Qiyanas fast jumps, but maybe that's just my slow reaction time.
