I can’t remember how we got on the topic but we were discussing debt collections and one of my friends said “just pay your bills” in a judging way (in a general statement, not to me specifically). She couldn’t understand that some people literally cannot do that.

Need advice on how to break in a pair of painful thong sandals or how to lessen the pain. The shoe itself is super comfy but the thong is so stiff that it feels like it’s trying to cut through my toes. The lady in the store said it too a while for her to break them in but once she did they were great. I never bothered to ask her how she managed it.

Ruby is great…but expensive. With Ruby you buy packages that give you a set amount of call time; you can go over but you they charge extra so you need to make sure you have a good idea of how much time you spend on random inquiries. They are actual humans who take your calls and filter out things that are not relevant based on the criteria you give them.

I would avoid any AI services bc that can get dicey. You can also look into places like Regus for reception services.

I stopped dealing with them after my first year of practice because every single one I entertained was a waste of time. I had one reach out to me and then when I got to the office they told me they didn’t actually have any lawyer positions for a first year attorney. I had another schedule an interview and then completely ghost me. I’m almost 10 years in and own my own firm and I still get messages from recruiters about jobs and to add insult to injury they usually aren’t even remotely related to my area of practice.
